👤 Managing Your Website Account
An account on xdcdayz.com links your website login to your in-game character, so you can see your personal stats, control how your name appears on the leaderboards, and get supporter perks. You can browse guides, leaderboards and tools without an account — you only need one for the personal features below.
Signing in
There are two ways to sign in, from the button in the top-right of the site:
- Sign in with Discord — the quickest option, and how we recognise supporters (donor status is keyed to your Discord account).
- Sign in with Steam — signs you in and links your Steam identity in one step.
You always enter your password on Discord's or Steam's own login page, never on ours — we never see it and it never touches our site. When you come back, all we receive is the handful of public profile details anyone can already see:
- Your username / display name and avatar picture.
- Your account ID (your Discord ID or Steam ID) — used to link you to your in-game character and your supporter status.
That's it. We don't receive or store your email, real name, friends list, messages, or anything private — and we never ask Discord or Steam for them. You can unlink your account or ask us to delete it at any time (see Your data below), and it changes nothing about your in-game character.
Linking your Steam account
To see your stats (the My Stats page), the site needs to know which in-game player you are. From your Account page, link your Steam account — this connects your website login to your Steam ID. Once linked:
- Your rows on the leaderboards get a "YOU" highlight.
- The My Stats page shows your full breakdown — kills, deaths (with the causes broken down), survival time, distance travelled, missions, and more.
- You can link more than one Steam account if you play on alts; they're all tied to your one website login.
Choosing how your name appears
By default the leaderboards show the name you used in-game — or, if you haven't set a distinctive one (you're still the generic "Survivor"), your Steam profile name is used instead so you're not just an anonymous survivor. From your account you can override this and choose how you're displayed:
- Default — your in-game name, falling back to your Steam profile name when you haven't set a distinctive in-game one.
- Custom — pick your own display name for the boards (within the naming rules — no impersonating staff or offensive names).
- Anonymous — hide your name entirely; you appear as an anonymous tag instead. Your stats still count, but your identity is hidden from other players.
Your choice applies across the leaderboards and Hall of Fame. If you pick Anonymous, it's respected everywhere your name would otherwise show — including past-wipe boards.
Per-wipe names & all-time privacy
Because the Hall of Fame keeps historical records, there are a couple of finer controls under Advanced Alias Options:
- Per-wipe aliases — set the name shown against a specific past wipe's records (by default it's the name you used during that wipe). Handy if you've since changed your name but want a past record labelled a certain way.
- Hide my all-time entry — remove your combined all-time entry from the career boards while still appearing on individual wipes, if you'd rather not show a lifetime total.
Supporter perks
XDC runs on donations, and supporters get a few thank-you perks (donations are never required to play — see the donate page). Once your supporter status is recognised via Discord, you get:
- Priority queue access on the servers.
- A supporter badge on the site.
- An ELO (skill-rating) column on the in-game group leaderboard and extra detail on some stats.
- A higher limit on the weapons comparison tool.
You can toggle whether your supporter badge is shown from your account settings.
Your data
